Welcome to Annie’s Place

G'day mate. Glad you could look at our site. After years of running tours in Australia and overseas, I settled down in Alice Springs and began running 3 day trips out to Ayers Rock and the surrounding desert region. In March 1999 along with a friend Annie we converted a beautiful motel into a funky hostel. Through hard work our reputation grew, and Annie’s became known as the place to stay in Alice Springs.

We had two little ones Tiger Jack and Ruby Eve. Annie moved back to her home city Adelaide. I was always going south to see the children grow so it made sense to have an Adelaide Hostel. Adelaide City Backpackers was on the market. It was ran by an odd couple with even odder ideas but hey, what a building. 130 years old. Ceilings up to the sky. Romantic chandeliers. Red carpeted staircase. I fell in love and so Annie’s Place in Adelaide was born.

I am immensely proud of the two hostels. I keep an eye on the Alice one along with....Letitia lettuce-eat-you, Neisha the Siren and occasionally Breakfast Radio DJ Krusty! Flick, James and Claire steer the ship in Adelaide, and everyday we all strive to upgrade and improve the facilities we offer. Many times guests feel the need to tell me how impressed they are, so come and stay with us and be impressed too. I look forward to seeing you.
Regards
